“I may have officially been in the nail industry for 6 months, but my nail obsession started long before that - I’ve been doing friends’ and family’s nails for well over a decade!

I trained with Elizabeth Sands and have completed a range of accredited qualifications, including Gel Polish, Builder Gel, Hard Gel and Gel X, alongside a separate qualification in Nail Art. I’m always looking to develop my skills, learn new techniques and, most importantly, find another excuse to buy nail products, Angela seems to think I have a spending problem.

My biggest passion is nail art, particularly hand-painted designs. Give me a tiny nail and an unnecessarily complicated reference picture and I’m in my element.

That being said, not every set needs to be maximalist. I’m just as happy creating minimal nail art, a clean French, or a beautifully simple block colour. Your nails should feel like you, whatever that looks like.

Wherever possible, my priority is maintaining the health and integrity of your natural nails. I’ll always recommend the service and length that I genuinely think is best suited to your nails rather than pushing you towards an enhancement you don’t need. If a little extra length is what you’re after, I’m also trained in nail enhancement systems, so we can find an option that works for you while keeping your natural nails at the centre of your treatment plan.

Behind all the pretty colours and nail art, I take salon hygiene very seriously. I hold a Barbicide certification and follow thorough cleaning and disinfection procedures between every client. I also use a high-temperature steriliser for suitable reusable tools, alongside single-use disposable items where appropriate. Because you should be able to sit back, relax and enjoy your appointment knowing that what’s happening behind the scenes is being taken care of too.

For me, an appointment is about so much more than just leaving with pretty nails. I genuinely love looking after my clients and creating a space where you can switch off for a little while. Whether you need a good pamper, a laugh and a bit of salon gossip, a chance to vent about your week, or simply an hour of peace and quiet - you’re welcome in my chair exactly as you are.

The Wallflower story really started as a right time, wrong place situation. I met the lovely Angela while we were both working from our previous salon, and we bonded somewhere between the first client and the first bit of salon gossip. When that salon eventually closed its doors, what could have been the end of one chapter very quickly became the beginning of another. I knew I wanted to create something with Angela - somewhere that felt welcoming, creative, relaxed and a little different from the traditional salon experience. And so, The Wallflower Beauty Co. began.
